• The famous American writer, Ernest Hemingway, literature Nobel Prize winner, stayed at the Hotel Ambos Mundos at the beginning of the 1930's. It was here that he wrote the first chapters of his novel, "For Whom The Bell Tolls" and left his indelible trace in the room (today a museum)that he himself chose. The Cojimar fishing area was also a perfect place as an inspiration source for the wonderful work "The Old Man and the Sea." Visit to Hemingway's room at the Ambos Mundos. CANNON FIRING CEREMONY (SA)

• Two outstanding elements of Cuba's capita, the castle of Tres Reyes del Morro and the Fortress San Carlos de la Cabana, dominate the fascinating view of Havana harbour.
