Varadero/Guajimico - A Tale of Two Cities (Varadero originating)

This program includes and focuses on two exceptional diving areas, Varadero in the north coast and Cienfuegos in the south. The itinerary offers options of renting a car or the use of private transfers.

Day 1 - Arrive Varadero
Meet and greet at Varadero airport. Either pick up car rental or transfer to the hotel Arenas Blancas. Day at leisure to enjoy Varadero. (L,D)

Day 2 - Varadero
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer or drive to Marina Puertosol in Varadero. Enjoy the day diving. Return to the hotel for dinner. Evening free. (B,L,D)

Day 3 - Varadero
Breakfast. Today experience more dives. Drive or transfer to Marina Puertosol. Return to the hotel for dinner. Evening free. (B,L,D)

Day 4 - Varadero to Guajimico
Breakfast. Check out and transfer or drive to Guajimico in the province of Cienfuegos. Check in at Villa Guajimico. Day at leisure. (B,D)

Day 5 - Guajimico
Breakfast. Information meeting with diving staff. Diving at set locations for the day. Optional lunch. Dinner. Evening free. (B,D)

Day 6 - Guajimico
Breakfast. Diving at set locations for the day. Optional lunch. Dinner. Evening free. (B,D)

Day 7 - Guajimico to Varadero
Breakfast and check out from Villa Guajimico. Transfer or drive to Varadero. If option with car rental drop off car at rental location. Afterwards check in at Arenas Blancas for one night. Day at leisure to relax and enjoy the beach. (B,L,D)

Day 8 - Depart Varadero
Morning at leisure. Depending on flight times transfer to Varadero Airport for departure. (B)

Option 1 (Private Transfer): $1899 Cdn. per person based on double occupancy.

  • Transfers to/from airport to hotel in Varadero
  • 4 nights accommodation in a 4 star hotel in Varadero on an all inclusive basis
  • private transfers to and from hotel to Marina Puerto Sol
  • 4 dives in Varadero
  • private transfers to and from Varadero to Villa Guajimico in Cienfuegos
  • 3 nights accommodation at Villa Guajimico with breakfast and dinner daily
  • 4 dives at Guajimico, tanks and leads, boat and instructor service for every 5 and 7 dives.

Option 2 (Car rental) $1969 Cdn. per person based on double occupancy.

  • Pick up car at Varadero airport for six days and drive to the hotel
  • 4 nights accommodation in a 4 star hotel in Varadero on an all inclusive basis
  • 4 dives in Varadero
  • 3 nights accommodation at Villa Guajimico with breakfast and dinner daily
  • 4 dives at Guajimico, tanks and leads, boat and instructor service for every 5 and 7 dives.

Not included in either option:

Flights to and from Cuba, Cuban tourist card $20 Cdn., Cuban exit tax $25 CUC (paid locally), equipment for divers, insurance on car rental (minimum $10 USD per day), security deposit on car rental ($200 USD), gasoline, personal expenses and gratuities.
