VIA RENT-A-CAR TERMS OF RENTAL:
Unlimited kilometers requires minimum 3 day rental.
One way rentals are available. The cost drop charge is as follows:
| From 3 to 6 days and up to 400 km | 0.15 CUC per km |
| From 3 to 6 days and more than 400 km | 0.20 CUC per km |
| 7 days or more and up to 400 km | 0.12 CUC per km |
| 7 days or more and more than 400 km | 0.15 CUC per km |
| More than 20 km within the same province | 0.20 CYC per km |
There is a one time charge of 20 CUC (to be paid locally) for all rentals commencing at a Cuban airport. Client will pay for a full tank of gas. No refund will be given for cars which are not returned with an empty tank
Minimum age of main driver 21 years. In order to rent the Peugeot 406 or Huyndai Santa Fe or Isuzu Trooper the minimum age is 25 years with a minimum of 3 years driving experience. Secondary international drivers of 18 years and over are permitted at a rate of $10 CUC per contract. Secondary drivers of 21 years and over who are Cuban Nationals are permitted at a rate of $30 CUC per contract.
Cars rented with professional driver from VIA 40.00 CUC per day extra with VIA paying the meals and accommodation for the driver. Cars rented with professional driver from VIA 20 CUC per day extra with client paying meals and accommodation for the driver. For trips outside the province the client must always assume the expenses of feeding and accomodating the driver.
Those clients not taking the insurance must leave a security deposit of 600 CUC.
